This is the silver and ivory backed prayer book my father gave my mother on their wedding day. He inscribed it with the wedding vow, a vow which was kept. My granddaughter was here at lunch time and we came across it while drawer tidying. I told its story and she asked "What's it about?" to which I replied "God". Later she was heard in the kitchen with the "Grandma's God book" holding a very wordy assembly for a congregation of none though that didn't stop her. It's now been returned to its rightful place.
