See you on the flipside

648 days and an extra child later, we're finally getting ready to return to Edinburgh.  We may have stayed an extra 500+ days longer than originally expected but there's no doubt that California has been extremely kind to us.

My work can be quite demanding at times but it's also afforded us a wonderful opportunity to experience life in another country.  An opportunity that we will always be grateful for.

People often ask what I look forward to about our return to Edinburgh, as well as what I'll miss.  Although I'm looking forwards to drinking great tap water and not driving everywhere, there's no doubt that we'll all miss avocados and the San Diego lifestyle.  That said, I'm always of the opinion to enjoy the moment.  There's no point longing for something you don't have.  Enjoy what you have right now.
