Power Off!

Coming home from a visit to the hairdressers just before 5 pm, I noticed that JF had not put any lights on. Once in the kitchen, I could see that he had not made himself a cup of tea!
Our village had a power cut from about 4pm until just after 8 pm, just when everyone was expecting to have their evening meal!
So we lit candles - and the fire - and had a cold meal with the luxury of a hot cup of coffee made on the Primus stove!
This candlestick was given to me for my 21st birthday. It has been to Australia and back again, and the glass is still intact!
