Exeter

Madame studied here 20 years ago, just prior to us becoming an item. Hence this break in Devon. We therefore decided a visit to Exeter was a nice trip down memory lane for her.

Another day of I'd say excellent weather, we have become somewhat realist now. No rain is great weather now. We have had numerous conversations on this subject. Everyone concluding that things are not good, no denial mongers around these parts.

Exeter is very pretty in parts, quite odd in others. The cathedral is stunning. Unfortunately access was limited to the entrance, in preparation for a flower festival starting tomorrow. There are more commercial modern parts around the cathedral which are quite well, not quite as good as the cathedral but hey, not everything is quite as good as parts of ahem Edinburgh.
