Flower Friday:Hoya

This a Hoya, or wax flower.
The glistening bits are wax, not water.

It was given to me many years ago by my best friend's mother.
It is known for thriving on neglect which must be why it is flourishing.

I didn't realise the black specks of dirt were there till I uploaded. A disadvantage of the wonderful macro lens.

We are in Canberra this weekend for the Rotary Conference.
