Urban wildlife

Some people take pictures of birds and squirrels, we see those in our Southampton gardens but we also see an awful lot of these creatures, yes rats. People seem to hate them and I can't say I am that keen myself but I quite enjoyed watching this one in my neighbour's garden today. Despite being asked not to my neighbour puts out food for the birds, which attracts rats. Our cat used to catch and kill them but is a bit past it so they are thriving despite our best efforts to get rid of them.
