Birthday Boy

Today marked the centenary of the birth of Huddersfield's most famous son, Harold Wilson.

He presided over some of the great liberalising agendas of the 1960s. Famous for winning four general elections as well has his comments and quotes including "A week is a long time in politics". 

I sam him in person only once - in the mid 1980s when he was Chancellor of the University of Bradford.

Today Harold was sporting a blue and white Huddersfield Town scarf rather than his usual Gannex raincoat.
