Dinner Plate Dahlia.

Garden blossom 19. Thought I would take a picture of the first Dahlia bloom this year. When I bought the corms in the spring, it said on the packet they are the size of dinner plates. Whereas I admit they are big blooms, I must have gigantic dinner plates. These would fit on our dinner plates with a couple of inches to spare all round. But still they are very nice and bright and this one is planted next to the sun dial, so it gives an indication of it's size. In the end I'm happy with the bloom, so this is my blip for today, Sun Dial size Dahlia.
