Nelson Lakes National Park

We're having a night away in the caravan and have come to Lake Rotoiti in the Nelson Lakes National Park. This is the lake, situated about 2 minutes from where we are parked up for the night.

It was 2.5 degrees C when we got up this morning. It was freezing! But it did warm up and was a nice afternoon. It's definitely autumn!

This afternoon we went for a bush walk along the honeydew track. It was lovely walking amongst the native bush, listening to the native birds high in the tree tops.

Late this afternoon we went and visited a friend who was camping just outside Lake Rotoiti. We spent a couple of hours yaking over a cuppa. A nice way to end a relaxing day.
