Norora
Standing in the middle of a field at 4am less than a mile from a high security prison waiting to see if the aurora storm that was hitting the high numbers would show. That was a good idea. Especially as there was nothing aglow to show (sky's too light I think, would need to be pretty strong to make any appearance). Now it's daylight, the clouds are back, but the storm's reaching a level that would mean, if the sky was clear and dark enough, the aurora might be spotted down south past Yorkshire (this chart shows how visible it might be at different levels; it's currently at 7.67 on the scale*).
Still, turning the camera to the east, the crescent moon, with a touch of earthlight reflecting off it, was sandwiched below Jupiter an above Venus.
Nice. But Norora.
