Buddha, in bronze and enamel.
We decided to avoid hawkers, peddlars and circulars today, by staying within the confines of the hotel, so the day went: restaurant, pool, bar, pool, restaurant, pool, bar, pool, restaurant. You get the picture?
New Buddha is resting against a towel as he has a tendency to fall over backwards if not placed on a hard level surface. Still, that's not a too uncommon problem, eh Bill???????
Beach tomorrow with the hoardes of weekenders, then two-wheeler fun on Monday.
Later: Went to a different beach shack this evening and were accosted by a local guy who enquired where we came from. Once he knew our home is Edinburgh, he reeled off district names and postcodes, with correct pronunciation!!!
Seems he is a well known character hereabouts, and is extremely knowledgeable about this locale. Hope so as we are going birdwatching and garden snooping with him @ 06:40, precisely, tomorrow.
Think he may be somewhere on the autistic scale, or a savant of some sort. Tell you more ramorra.
Oh, he could recite "by yon bonnie banks" . . . and some McGonagall ! ! !
