Collection!

Yeah we have it! We drove up to Gargrave today and collected our new tandem. We took it for a test ride and did about 22 miles - hilly miles!  It was a lovely day and the first of the year without a merino base layer. We cycled to Airton where we had coffee and curd cake (we shouldn't have - it sat very heavy) then on to Malham Cove. A quick photo (blip) shot then on up onto Scosthrop Moor - a 1in6 climb which nearly killed us. Well, we nearly saw that curd cake again. But it was worth it. The view was fantastic and the sheep were very photogenic (see extra), and the descent was fast - 44 mph.

Back to the shop some tweaks made and then the bill paid (gulp) and home we came.

A fantastic day and really pleased with our tandem and the folks at JD Tandems are lovely.
