The Hurricane Tree

The time finally came for an old tree in our garden to be cut down.

It was our favourite when we were wee for climbing (J even managed to fall out of it and crack his head open) and playing under (the setting for restaurants with our kitchen set in the summer) so it was quite sad when it went. It reminded me of a book my Mum used to read to us when we were wee, "The Hurricane Tree", although the use we are putting the wood to is for fuel in the fire!!
