A testing day

Testing not in the sense of difficult, but a bit longer run to test Lofty the camper's energy on a few hills and that no problems became apparent over a few more miles. A beautiful day but quite a dense mist which had not burned off by mid afternoon.
Having negotiated through the crowds at Bolton Abbey, the blip is of him on the way over Barden moor. From this point there's a great 11.5 mile walk around Upper Barden reservoir and along Rylstone Edge, but that distance is too much for me at the moment. It's a great walk in summer when the heather is in full bloom.
It was warm enough to sit outside for a pint of Wainright at a usual watering hole, the Elm Tree in Embsay.
The extra is from a shorter run I did alone on Friday, just up the road but a good hill climb to see if he was up to it. It shows of course the Cow and Calf rocks at Ilkley.
He behaved impeccably on both days so now we're planning to go up to the North East, and perhaps into Scotland, during the Easter holiday.
