Old army hut...
...one of many near Scout Dyke outdoor centre, for Derelict Sunday today.
They were originally used during the Second World War by the troops who guarded the munitions stored at the sides of the narrow roads at the top of the hill. A few were taken over by the centre, and used to store canoes and small dinghies. They are now gently mouldering away, and one by one I guess they will be flattened and replaced by new housing.
Happily we aren't too derelict today, after a loooong sleep and a gentle day pottering - a spot of shopping, a few washerloads ( smelly socks first - too much information?! ), and a general storing away of the ski gear until next season. OK - what's next?
