Birthday celebration.

Today we attended a lovely  celebration lunch for my Aunt, on the right , who was was 95 on Friday. Also in the picture is Mum and the total age between them is 185 years!

They are farmer's daughters brought up on plenty of meat , butter, eggs cheese and full milk (sometimes unpasteurised!). They still eat well and live independently in their own homes. What a pair. What a generation.

(My mother was at the doctor having a blood pressure check last week.The doctor came out to meet her and usher her in to his room. He was amazed that at her age she walked without a stick and told her she was doing very well for 90!)
