Edinburgh - Day 12
Still haven’t got any internet access so Ann is in the pub again. We have however found a very nice dog friendly café with internet access nearby. Unfortunately it’s closed in the evenings.
Soooooo, today I had to have ‘early afternoon walk’ because Ann was meeting a friend for drinkies. Don’t even ask how much money she’s spent on food & drink in the last 10 days??!!
Went for a little trot around up the Pentland Hills near where Ann used to live as a teenager. Saw lots of cute alpacas but unfortunately I was back on my lead by that time so I couldn’t go chasing.
For anyone who is interested…………………. The 'big Edinburgh flat refurbishment' is not going at all well. This morning Ann emailed her project manager and told him he was c*** and we really don’t care if he’s reading this?!! She listed stuff that she wanted to happen by tomorrow morning (mainly sending quotes through), copied his boss into the email…………… And surprise, surprise, about an hour later he phoned! The phrase, ‘too little, too late’, springs to mind?!!!
She said she wanted to see him first thing on Tuesday morning with the electrician and engineer (who we still don’t believe has submitted plans re building warrants for knocking down a wall and putting in steel beams). Amazingly, he is going to come at 9am with both the electrician & engineer. We shall see. Watch this space.
Life as a property developer is not easy?!!Kirsty Allsop never seems to have these problems. LOL!!!
