Gardenia Beauty

In France, gardenias are the flower traditionally worn by men as boutonniere when in evening dress.  During the Gilded Age, upper-class men in New York City wore gardenias in their buttonholes.  In Florida, men wear Tommy Bahama shirts with Gardenias in the print! Including my hubby!  I love the beauty of this simple flower.  This afternoon, I picked this flower and several other ones from our tree to put in a vase.  The fragrance in the house is wonderful.  Hope everyone is having a great Sunday.
