Crocuses

After a disturbed night at the Travelodge (the person in the room above ours seemed to be marching about quite noisily from about 4.00am...), it was back to Kelvinside for another day with our stall at the 'BMG Festival '16'. Not many potential customers passing through today, so time seemed to drag.

I took time off this afternoon for a very pleasant walk with Louie in the Glasgow Botanic Gardens, just across the road from the venue. It was mild and sunny, and good to be out. Just a short walk (as far as an ancient dog can manage), so saw only a tiny part of the Botanic Gardens, but it was magical! Carpets of crocuses in the grass, still lots of snowdrops in flower, and there are lots of daffs too, mostly in bud.

As the musicians went in to the the start of the last festival event, we packed up the instruments yet again and by 4.00pm were heading for home -  the long, scenic way round via Peebles, Selkirk and Kelso, partly to avoid crowds from a big football match in Glasgow and a rugby match in Edinburgh. We drove through some fabulous countryside en route, and were treated to a glorious sunset.
