Woodland Day

Today our monthly work group ( meitheal ) helped Mike, Madeline and Holly to run a Woodland Day. I was on tree planting and after giving a demonstration we planted lots of trees with the help of visitors. Then Sandra showed how Henry the horse could be useful in pulling logs out of the woods, the kids gasped in sheer delight seeing him working. He is so well behaved and really can maneuver so well between the trees. Tim gave a talk on the proposed woodland burial site for west cork. Holly was selling the Brown Envelope Seeds and I sold a few cards, a very nice and hopefully inspiring day.
