This would make a nice calligraphic image if it wasn't in my glass splash back behind the stove. We invited friends for a Chinese meal Saturday night and the glass went pffft about 10minutes after the first dish was cooked. You can see the oil splatters but the tempered glass should take that. I used the (electric) hot plate nearest the wall as it is the hottest but the wok doesn't cover all of the element. Hubby thinks the unexposed bit triggered the crack. I was pleased that the wok worked well on this hot plate as we can't have gas. Hopefully the next hottest (at the front) will work with the wok. Fortunately, it is covered by insurance.
