Copenhagen Day 2
This morning Isobel had a coffee and waited for me to ascend and descend the 290 metre Round Tower in the centre of Copenhagen. There were some great views from the top, this picture is the walkway up with only the last few meters actually having stairs.
We then went on a canal boat tour, stopping off at Our Saviours Church, with another tall tower that had to be climbed, from the top of which you could almost see Sweden (see extras).
We also visited Christiania, a hippy commune set up in the grounds of an old army barracks, where cannabis dealing and use is tolerated and the community have introduced their own currency, education and legal system. Photos were not allowed!
We wandered on to Paper Islands, a converted warehouse that used to house all the paper used for books in Copenhagen but now hosts an eclectic array of street foods.
