The Romans are coming

Had to look twice when I took Bonnie out for her morning walk this morning as thought I was seeing things! This great bunch of guys were more than happy to pose for me as they were cooking breakfast on a picnic table ahead of the long trek along Hadrians Wall path, all 84 miles of it and they'd only completed a few miles when I saw them! They are doing the walk in aid of a local scout group. Wish I'd thought to ask the name. I bet they ditch the outfits when they get to the difficult bits :)

Another unusual encounter along Hadrians Wall path was a couple of years ago when a group of OAP's all women, completed it on mobility scooters. I was driving into Carlisle one day and they were an amazing sight to see.

Have been working all afternoon and my plans of finishing mowing the grass have gone pearshape as its now pouring down with rain, am not amused!
