Fly a Flag for the Commonwealth
Today was 'Fly a Flag for the Commonwealth' day. I took on my unpaid role (sounds familiar) as photographer for the council to capture the moment. I'm not very comfortable in this role, photographing people does not excite me in the way that standing alone at sunrise, capturing the beauty of nature does.
I hadn't realised that the commonwealth has over 2 million citizens, but then again when you realise that just one country, India, makes up more than half of the population, it is probably less surprising. Compare that to the smallest country, the nine island state of Tuvalu with less than 10,000 people.
Anyway, please note the classic mistake if a flag pole growing out of on of the dignitaries heads! I'm going back to my landscapes!
