GOODBYE HENRIETTA:

The happy thing is it is raining. A steady drizzle. The sad thing is, Henrietta is going. Reluctantly. She is going to stay with cousins in Hawea, who I know will look after her.
From here she will go into the realms of fantasy. She will meet the handsome rooster Harry, & after a brief courtship, they will marry, raise lots of chickens, & live happily ever after.......isn't that how all good fairy stories end ?
I have been in touch with an illustrator, who I think, does fantastic illustrations, but unfortunately is in the North Island & won't be coming South until September. Because I like her work, I will wait for her. So I will spend the Winter writing, & then, come Spring, we will be in business.
