Osprey Nest

Too far away to see the ospreys clearly... but I was excited to find this nest way up in a tree. I've been watching a couple of other osprey families, too, but their nests are on man-made posts.

You may have noticed that I had disabled commenting on my journal for awhile; responding to comments and reciprocating seemed to take more time than I had. But then, I missed hearing from you all! So... comments once again welcomed and much appreciated! Thanks for understanding.

I've discovered a new place to hike and explore, just about three miles from my house. The city has recently purchased a tract of 122 acres - mostly wetlands - to remain in its natural state... a real treasure! My heron photos of the last two days were taken here, too.
