Daily Bread

Amongst the treasures I was given from our family home, when we were south last week, was this German bread plate.  My great grandfather came from Freiburg in the 1870s as an assistant watchmaker. 

I'm not sure whether he brought it with him then or whether his son, my grandfather brought it over later . . . we are running out of relations to ask!
