In a country kirkyard
Part of the glebe behind Foveran Parish Church The slopes leading down to the Foveran Burn are currently carpeted with an ancient growth of snowdrops. They must have given immense pleasure to many a generation, and they continue to do so.
I was in the area primarily to see the snowdrops, but also to take some photographs of molehills for a talk I am to give on Thursday. One of them that I photographed in the kirkyard had fragments of the skull of some-one long dead sitting on top. It gives a clear indication of the great depths to which moles dig! Should you wish to see it, and you may well not, then it appears as an extra.
