It was our friend Dave's funeral today. Having taught in the same school for 33 years, the church was packed with family, friends, colleagues and former pupils (almost 400 according to one source) and it rang to laughter, song and applause during the service.

We raised a glass or two to him afterwards; this photo of the photo of him on the back of the order of service captures his warm smile and cheery personality perfectly ( and in typical pose!)
