A sad sad dooby story ...
During the clean up on Monday Dooby found her old polaroid with film still in it, Dooby snapped away in the field with the Dog and thought she might blip one of them tuesday as a long day at work meant she wouldn't get any other photo op.
Tuesday night she's all set up to show a presentation with the macbook sat on the floor connected to the projector. 'That glass of cokes a bit to close' she thought to herself, 'need to move it'. So Dooby reaches for the glass and instead of moving it tips it to the right. All over the macbook.
'Phish' says the macbook as its lights go out.
Lots of tissues and a day later. No life in the macbook. Ring the macbook man. He says something about killing and my mother being bored and suggests a repair cost of around £600! 'If it was me I'd forget it and look for a new one, or a reconditioned one at about the same price'.
Bummer. Dooby has spent her savings on the house and does not have fancy new macbook money. Dooby borrows the iBook from work. Dooby loves the design of this original little white mac but is not so keen on it's hard drive being 1/5th of her iPods hard drive nor the memory of an OAP in the shop not remembering what she was in the shop for.
Hurrumph. Not happy dooby days.
