a welcome flock

As I drove to work this morning I noticed that the mixed flock of fieldfare and redwing had returned again to their regular field, presumably on their spring migration. It is a good month later than normal which may be because there has been no snow elsewhere to force them to move on.

They will soon move on to summer in Scandinavia or Russia so I will enjoy them whilst they holiday here.
