Mixed day

Change to my regular Tuesday ........

Up a bit earlier to visit mum ........ then on to collect my sister and accompany her to the GP surgery for some minor surgery. Without being too graphic, she now has a 3.5" cut and stitches on her back, returning just before Easter to have the stitches removed. She was very brave and winsed only a couple of times (he was pushing and pulling quite a bit).

Dropped her off home and went to the local restaurant, to met up with a friend/work colleague who is currently on adoption leave. It was lovely to see her and hear all her news about her new addition and the process (and continuing meetings!!) with the professionals involved. Being social workers ourselves doesn't make it any easier being on the other side of the fence (but we work in adults and children's is a whole different ball game). Felt sorry for the waitress who had to keep asking for our orders and we kept apologising as we were chatting so much! :)

Lovely day - these are the flowers I purchased for my friend for being a mummy again/and Easter/and any other reason :)
