Early bird

Well worth the early start and the long climb to be one of the only few people on the wall today. Yes, that's me in the picture!

Despite the smog, splendid views were enjoyed as I struggled to get my breath back.

Off to Xian this evening on the sleeper train from Beijing West.  Something tells me that 11.5 hours on a train is not going to be as much fun as I imagine!
