Allotment architecture

I'm not a gardener. I leave that to the talented AllyT. I do like the allotment though, and this morning I visited with the idea of photographing our old front door which is now acting as part of the composting system.

I got a better pic of this bean growing apparatus - I'm not sure of the technical term. The lashed together poles create an outdoor, topless*, cathedral. All hail the beans. May they grow tall and mighty and tasty.

* yes I could have used roof-less but I'm curious to see if i get more visitors with topless. I'll probably use it as a tag too... Here goes.
