A walk in the clouds
Had a great day today 'working'. Went, as Reserve Manager (though I'm leaving this role now, sadly), with 2 'award-winning photographers' and a ranger into Corrie Fee National Nature Reserve to do a photo walk with a group. I have so much to learn!
The weather wasn't the best (what a surprise, eh?!) with wind and rain adding to the challenge!
Corrie Fee is the most beautiful place, but in today's weather I decided that this meadow cranesbill Geranium pratense picture was probably the best one I took. A landscape shot wouldn't have done the place justice.
I lovely their vibrant bluey colour compared to the much pinker wood cranesbill. The leaves are more deeply divided too. Cranesbills are so-called as their seed pods are said to resemble a crane's bill.
