When Irish Eyes Are Smiling...

Happy St Paddys Day to you all.

My papa, James Patrick Egan who was born in Ireland and raised in Belfast before moving to Scotland and meeting my nana, Mary. What a handsome devil he was. The photo of him alone is from the early 1940s, possibly 1941 when he was up at the RAF base at Scapa Flow in Orkney. The photo of my grandparents together is from 1952-3 (it's not visible but my nana is pregnant with my mum in the pic)
The little music box belonged to her.
I'm exceptionally proud of my Irish roots. :-)
