Old haunts

Old haunts perhaps, but a completely new subject for a photograph: taken from Kelvinbridge (the actual bridge, not merely the area) on a suddenly lovely afternoon. As you can tell by the sun, I was facing south, towards Glasgow University past Hillhead where I went to school - an area over which I roamed all through my childhood and adolescence. 

It reminds me, in this view of the Kelvin, of somewhere foreign. Bruges, perhaps? And of course it's a cosmopolitan area, where one of my favourite Italian restaurants had just provided us with a splendid lunch. 

What's not to like?
