The Black Stuff
D's Nana was born in Belfast which is reason enough for us to acknowledge (if not celebrate) St Patrick's day. I made a Dublin Coddle for dinner which is basically a sausage hotpot. It needed a drop of Guinness and D was happy to finish off the rest of the bottle.
We had our Church School inspection which seem to go well, although the chap seemed a little suspicious and was overheard asking children questions like 'How long has that display been up?' and 'Do you usually have an assembly like that on a Thursday?'. He didn't come anywhere near when we were making our Easter gardens but I noticed he was having a look at them later in the day and asking children about them. My extra photo is of one of the 4 gardens we made.
After assembly he handpicked a couple of pupils to interview. I probably shouldn't go into detail but, out of 200 children he probably picked the one child least qualified to answer questions about the school's Christian Ethos.
These inspectors obviously have a 6th sense.
