Early start

Up early to do more work for the new orchard, deeper digging  the squares cut from the turf in the lawn. We went to collect the trees this afternoon, the Apple and Orchard charity is based on an old airfield that is gradually being redeveloped. We struggled to find the right place, not helped by the sign over their door that said "Windsurfing Club". Worked it out eventually and met a very nice guy and picked up a dozen very good looking trees. By the end of the day eight of them were planted, the other four going in tomorrow. I must admit the stakes are currently larger than the trees but this is a project for the future.
