Day 18 March Macro - Auction Buys....

Had a great time at the auction yesterday and for the first part of the auction we didn't think we would get anything after a few unsuccessful bids...but then...we got a series of lots after the initial slow start...

Hubby bought this beautiful London Silver Bon Bon dish and although it's not old (1996) it's very pretty...

I bought this rather interesting Chester Silver folding spoon which is dated 1876...it's apparently a Doctor's spoon so perhaps would have been used to dish out medicines in Victorian times...

I also bought some more jewellery (surprise surprise!)....more photos to follow no doubt!

My extra today is the image I was going to use for today's macro shot but decided after taking it that I would add some photos of the silver we bought....the ring is quite unusual in its' design..rubies with tiny diamonds either side of  a bar......
