Some years ago I posted a Blip on the Canonmills Bridge building being knocked down for no obvious reason other than to build yet another block of flats.

The decision to do this was overturned and the building subsequently became a very popular and well used farm shop.

There followed some considerable to-ing and fro-ing, appeals and so on but of course the developers are getting their way.

RIP Canonmills Bridge.
