I just did..........the Daughter has gone out............sat down earlier to watch Sport Relief.....probably not my best ever decision considering my frame of mind this week..........especially as the first item I watched was about coping with bereavement.

Grandads lunch with D & B today.............I drove..........a little oasis in a dark week............a pint.........a cheese and onion pie, chunky chips and braised red cabbage, with a cheese an herb sauce........and strangely enough a conversation that started with gardening......moved to chopping branches off trees...........then the oak table we were sitting at........and then on to coffins!.....how that happened I don't know....maybe it's just our age.

Off to get measured for the wedding suit tomorrow............

The last form arrived today............once I fill it in and send it back........everything is sorted with Helen's affairs........and then my new life starts...or so everyone tells me.............
