Nearing the end - autumn
Wisteria seed pods. I had never noticed them before. Today blipmate and I visited a garden that is a real spring garden with azaleas, cherry blossoms, magnolias, camellias and daffodils. It is a 40 year old garden for the most part with a park like paddock in big trees next door. I had never been there in the autumn so it was good to see the seed pods on so many of the trees and shrubs. I came home with my pockets full of nuts, acorns, and magnolia pods.
One extra of the seeds ready to pop from the pod of one of the species magnolias. The skin looked like cooked crayfish shell.
