White-eared Bulbul (Pycnonotus leuotis)

I went out to find a colourful bird and found this little beauty, apparently it is not nearly as common as the White-spectacled Bulbul, but I actually see more of the Red-vented variety, so this one is special to me. The fact it was in the tree above me when I stopped off at the shop and not in the park were I had been looking for it was a surprise. Luckily my camera was easily accessible and I got some shots of her preening. We have had rain again this afternoon but not a lot, the dams in this area are now full though which is fantastic news.
