Flowers, Fish and Fun (chal)

What a fun day we've had and it's only the afternoon!

We ventured into Funchal today and first stop was the fabulous market with all these beautiful flowers and flower sellers in their traditional costumes.  We bought some outrageously priced exotic fruits and we think we were done but never mind...  Then we went to look at the fish and found the horrendously ugly local delicacy Black Scabbard fish with its knobbly skin and bulging eyes.  We have seen them served with banana but I haven't tried any just yet...  You can see some of these in the extras. Then we went up to Monte on the Cable Car which gave us some stunning views over Funchal and we came back down in a basket!  With two men hanging on for dear life on the back!  I laughed and laughed and laughed and only stopped when we were approaching the walls sidewards and quickly!  Great ride!  You can see a bit of what that's like in the extras too.  We are having our big blip meet celebration on Monday because it's my birthday.  We are going to meet ourselves on a catamaran going dolphin watching.  It will be the smallest Blipmeet we've ever done but we will talk to anyone who will listen about Blip and maybe encourage a few new members.
