Heroic

This was the start.

Me and Andy were looking significantly less heroic 56 miles later after 2,900ft of climbing, including the (in)famous Duke's Pass which was the most bastardy hill I have ever cycled up. The fact it arrived after 42 miles was the pain bonus.

On the plus side there was a shower afterwards and Andrew suffered severe cramps in the pub which was obviously amusing. Until I suffered severe cramps in the car. At which point cramping became very unfunny.

Home now with a beer in front of me and a hot bath being run so that will be a splendid end to a pretty perfect day.
