Ferry at the front gate

Before I started on my political day in Oban I visited Dunollie Castle ( the old and the new) as part of an initiative organised by the Scottish Museum Council to celebrate local museums.

Dunollie has come on leaps and bounds in recent years and is well worth a visit when it re-opens for the season next Friday. It also sits in a stunning location and whilst the view from the old castle over Kerrera and towards Mull is amazing , this shot shows what can be seen from the main car park - and that is pretty stunning too !
