The Solent in March

The view from Portsdown Hill of Portsmouth and the Solent beyond. Quite grey and cool out but with glimpses of sunshine as the afternoon progressed. There were some very large tankers out in The Channel. Nearer the shore yachts sat stranded in the sand by the out going sea.

We were on the way to the hospital where Andy's mum is still waiting to be assessed for her care needs once home. She is stuck. on an acute surgery ward -a totally unsuitable place for her but we have been told neither the ward or we can do anything to speed up the assessment process. I find that very hard to believe so we will keep on the case. Bacon and eggs for tea, followed by watching the rugby!
