Demo

I was up early today as I had a seat on a bus through to the stand up to racism event in Glasgow. There was a march led by some of the Scottish Eritrean community followed by a host of speakers.

The day was started with a spring in my step too as I found out early in the day that our union negotiators had been in a meeting until three am this morning and they and colleges Scotland had negotiated a deal which can be put to our national executive then hopefully members and which has allowed us to suspend the strike in the meantime. Great news, particularly since we've only been out for one day.
