Telyt Like It Is.
This is my little collection of Telyt lenses, the "big boys" of the Leitz lens family. From left to right, 200mm from 1961, 280mm from 1975 (the youngest but one of my batch), and the huge 400mm from 1961. Their images, each with its characteristic signature, have graced the pages of my journal many times. The lenses were originally designed to be used with a mirror reflex housing (the Visoflex) on Leica M cameras (see here.) The real miracle is that an adapter (here) to replace the Visoflex, used in conjunction with an electronic viewfinder, has breathed new life into these wonderful lenses which would otherwise have become relics of a forgotten chapter in photography's history.
